Mumbai, India, April 28, 2008- Whistling Woods International (WWI), Asia's largest Film, Television, Animation and Media Arts Institute has announced that admissions for its July 2009 batch are on.
The film and entertainment sector is growing rapidly. According to the FICCI- KPMG Media and Entertainment report 2009, the film and entertainment sector is estimated to have grown at a CAGR of 12.5% over the next 5 years. This automatically opens up several career opportunities across various fields like Producing, Animation, Editing , Screenwriting etc.
To provide talent to this burgeoning sector, WWI offers practical training which is comparable to the best in the world. The teaching methodology is in line with industry trends and students work on live projects under the guidance of acclaimed filmmakers like Naseeruddin Shah, Cyrus Bharucha, Samar Khan, Somnath Sen, Rajen Kothari, etc.
It is the only film school to facilitate placements to students. Whistling Woods is also highly committed to ensuring that its students move out of the school into highly creative and rewarding areas of employment in both - India and overseas.
Says John Lee Jr., Dean, Whistling Woods International, "It's a good time to study, especially for those who want to make a career in film and entertainment. Globalization is creating new markets for the Indian Film Industry and at Whistling Woods International we make sure our students receive world class training so as to be on par, with the best in the world."
