Aspiring actors at The Actors' Studio at Whistling Woods
International (headed by Rob Reece, Hollywood's Acting Guru), get a
head-start with the unique Foundation Course which familiarises them
with all aspects of filmmaking. They go on to master an impressive array
of Acting skills incorporating voice training, scene study, self
evaluation, screen presence and personality development and a fitness
program which includes gym training, yoga and dance
forms.
Rob Reece who has acted in film,
television and theatre for several decades and taught Method Acting for
about 30 years in Los Angeles, believes that "The Acting Program goes to
the very essence of the actors' talent and trains them in a craft that
brings out the genius of the human spirit."
Success
is not far. This June will see the start of a 'road trip comedy'
written and directed by Shashank Khaitan with batch-mates and friends
from WWI. Mukta Arts of course has launched 'Pashchim Express' with four
actors from Whistling Woods namely Sahil Mehta, Mannat Ravi, Vikas
Katyal and Priyam Galav. The film is being directed by WWI alumnus Sunny
Bambhani. Micky Mody will be seen alongside actor Raveena Tandon in
Rajiv Walia's Agni-The Fire. Aahana Kumra has worked with Naseeruddin
Shah in Anup Kurian's The Hunt. Sahil Vaid is featured along with
Pankaj Kapoor in Bhavna Talwar's 'Happi' slated for release later this
year.
"Versatility is the quintessence of the
Acting students as they emerge from the course into today's New Indian
Cinema that has begun to attract attention world-wide" says Subhash Ghai
who has launched many 'stars'. He adds further, "Rob's influence
within WWI's Acting Program may provide India's motion picture industry
the biggest and most profound benefits from its emerging actors. Rob is a
powerful source, who will deliver a major shift." |
