Whistling Woods International - India's only Apple Authorised Training Centre for Education (AATCe)

Mumbai, India, April 13, 2009: Whistling Woods International (WWI), Asia's largest Film, Television, Animation and Media Arts Institute today announced that it is now also an official Apple Authorised Training Centre for Education (AATCe) in India. The Institute will now deliver high-quality training and certification to students in key software applications used by professionals.

Says, John Lee, Jr., Dean, Whistling Woods International, "Apple software applications such as Logic Pro and Final Cut Pro are used for training in courses like Sound Recording and Design and Editing. As an Apple Authorized Training Centre for Education (AATCe), Whistling Woods International is now able to give its students certified training in courses such as Editing and Sound designing thus maintaining its edge in technology driven education.

Whistling Woods International will receive established, proven curriculum and course outlines for each of Apple's Pro applications, which are embedded within its Diploma courses. This adds significant value to WWI's existing programmes because students will have the opportunity to achieve Apple Pro Certification status and Apple's own end user certification, in their chosen field of study. This additional certification will distinguish them as a professional-level user of Apple's Pro Applications and give them a competitive edge in the job market.

Shedding more light on the program, John Lee, Jr. says that all trained students will be entitled to an exam which is an extra-credit or a benchmark for the students to pass to another level of training within the curriculum. The students will have an additional benefit of receiving Apple Pro Certification status after the examinations. The students will be allowed to take the exam once they have had a minimum 1 year experience in the classroom using the software.

Students will be provided with Apple Certified courseware as well as the opportunity to give the Certification Exam. Apple Training Series courseware is certified by Apple for Apple Authorised Training and is required for all AATCe (s).
