Celebrate Cinema 2023 - Whistling Woods International Honors Athletes and Champions Organ Donation Advocacy
This year, Celebrate Cinema 2023 highlights 'Unstoppable Spirits,' celebrating athletes who excel despite disabilities, demonstrating unwavering determination. We proudly hosted a special felicitation ceremony, acknowledging Indian athletes who have made significant contributions to organ donation, supported by Organ India. The ceremony took place in the presence of Team 'Ghoomer' during the opening session on November 3 (Friday), followed by a live performance of a theme song composed by Raj Shekhar, a student from the School of Music.
The Organ Receiving & Giving Awareness Network (ORGAN) India, an initiative launched in March 2013 by The Parashar Foundation, addresses the critical state of deceased organ donation in India. The athletes have participated and represented India at the World Transplant Games Olympics in Perth, Australia. Each of these athletes was either an organ donor or recipient.
