Team Khwaab Celebrates World Environment Day with Educational Activities, Tree Planting, and Beach Clean-up Drive
On 31st May 2021, a three-phase celebration was held to celebrate World Environment Day. Phase one was conducted at the Aasra Welfare Association in Bandra with Salaam Bombay Foundation kids. As a non-profit organization, it is recognized by the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai as well as the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board as an authorized material recovery facility. The children were explained in detail how waste management works. The learning experience was followed by a Poster Making Competition. Prizes were distributed to the most creative creations followed by refreshments for the kids and employees.
In the second phase, Team Khwaab organized a tree planting drive with The Movement India at Dongri Children's Home on 3rd June, 2021. With great enthusiasm staff and minor girls planted saplings to make the world a greener place.
The third phase which was on the 5th of June, 2021. Team Khwaab in collaboration with Beach Please organised a beach clean-up drive. Khwaab celebrated the righteous occasion of World Environment Day by bringing together more than 60 children from NGOs such as Angel Express Foundation, Salaam Bombay Foundation and Vidya Mumbai to clean-up the Mithi River along with a few faculty members from Whistling Woods International.
