Diwali Celebration: WWI Joins Prayas Ek Koshish in Spreading Joy Among Kids
Amidst the COVID pandemic, we celebrated Diwali with kids of the Prayas - Ek Koshish NGO. To give a festival vibe, our volunteers decorated the place with garlands of flowers and made an eco-friendly Rangoli. We also distributed masks that we purchased from an NGO in Delhi, Sunshine Project, as part of our support for their members. To make NGO kids day more special, our student volunteers played fun games and conducted dance workshops. Diya Painting Workshop - a perfect way to celebrate Diwali was conducted by our Visual Communication and Design Alumni - Ms. Harshita Bachchi which was enjoyed by everyone. We screened a short film that highlighted the history and rituals of the festival followed by sweets and plant distribution to inculcate a meaningful celebration without firecrackers that harm the environment, vulnerable people, and animals.
